Conversation is a two way street. When one does all the talking and the other does all the listening it becomes a lecture and the only lectures I know of that are actually wanted are the lectures that you pay to hear. I'm sure even then it's out of a sense of making sure you feel like you got your moneys worth.
Speaking to people by telling them things or announcing a topic or a set of facts is in essence,
off line spam. It is unwanted information with little if any relevance to what that person is saying or thinking at the time and lacks any genuine care for the individual that is being spoken to.
In the Old Testament the prophets many times would address the nation of Israel in this fashion but the purpose was to wake up a nation that already belonged to God.
We are addressing what the Bible identifies as Gentiles. The basic definition of which is:
a Non Jew.
Being real and being natural in our conversation with other people is a must if we are to gain an audience with them.

Today is the beginning of this blog and this journey in sharing Jesus Christ with others. As we mature in our venture it will be interesting to see where it leads us to.
